The Alur Kingdom is currently under the leadership of His Majesty, Philip Olarker Rauni III. It is among the top six recognized kingdoms in Uganda and is also one of the oldest.
Its vision is to improve quality of life for the people of the Alur Kingdom. Its
mission is to mobilize resources both locally and internationally to support
community projects. The predominant ethnic group is the Alur, who form of the
larger Luo groups who live in Achol, Lango, Arua District and Northern Eastern
Democratic Republic of Congo. The Kingdom is blessed with rich fertile land
favorable for large scale farming and good climatic conditions capable of
supporting wide range of agricultural activities.

The flag of the Alur Kingdom comprises three equal
horizontal stripes of light blue, yellow and green, fimbriated in white, with
the emblem (enlarged above) of the kingdom in the centre.
